3D Lipo is one of the leading experts in non-surgical body treatments. It’s a popular treatment for pre-holidays and post-splurges (we all over-indulge around Christmas). There are a lot of questions surrounding this treatment, so we’ve answered the most common ones we get asked right here!
01 / What is 3D Lipo?
3D Lipo is a fat removal and body contouring treatment that can assist with inch loss. Teamed with a healthy diet and exercise, you can lose inches and create a slimmer silhouette. It’s a powerful multi-technology, non-surgical alternative to liposuction, and an ideal treatment for fat reduction and cellulite in stubborn areas as well as skin tightening. There are two options to choose from: Cryolipolysis and Cavitation – speak to your therapist to decide which one (or both) are right for you. Our clients love the confidence boost it provides.
02 / What’s the difference between Cryolipolysis and Cavitation?
Cryolipolysis is a fat freezing treatment. It freezes unwanted fat cells and over the space of six to eight weeks the cells are broken down and dissipated through the lymphatic system. Cavitation is a three-part treatment where fat cells are broken down instantly and then drained through the lymphatic system by using special vacuum suction and rollers.
03 / How many sessions do I need?
For a cryo treatment, you only need one session per area and you cannot have another treatment on that area until after six months. For cavitation, a 6-week treatment programme is recommended for optimum results. These six treatments must be spaced out with a week in between. We advise booking these sessions in one go to avoid disappointment. The salon can get very busy, particularly on the weekends and in the evenings, so to make the most of your treatments, make sure you have enough time for your course to be fully effective.
04 / Does it hurt?
Cryolipolysis can feel a little cold and the area will be a little pink after treatment but this will disappear after an hour or so. Cavitation can feel a little warm, particularly during the radiofrequency section. Your therapist will check in with you throughout to ensure you’re comfortable. The majority of our clients say it feels like a warm, soothing massage and have even fallen asleep during treatment! During Cryo, our clients take the opportunity to kick back and relax, listen to music, read a book or just have a catch up!
05 / How long are the treatments?
Treatment times can range from half an hour to an hour and a half depending on the area being treated.
06 / What are the results?
The results can be great, some clients have lost several centimetres across the area treated after their first session (cavitation only). This treatment also aids skin tightening and can provide a more youthful appearance. It’s important to note that great results come from taking care of yourself. If you don’t pair the treatments with a healthy diet and regular exercise, the stubborn fat cells you’ve spent time and money to remove will eventually come back.
07 / I have an underlying condition, can I still have the treatment?
Prior to booking your appointments, it’s important to have a free consultation with your therapist to determine if this treatment is suitable for you. There are several conditions including diabetes, cancer and pregnancy that prevent you from undergoing these treatments, so please book in for a no-obligation chat before making any definite decisions.
08 / How much does it cost?
Treatment prices vary depending on the size of the area you wish to work on, and how many treatments you want to have. Prices will be discussed during your consultation and discounts are available for specific courses when booking.
